About BLUSH
BLUSH consists of Lola Hammerich and Jonathan Holst Bruus, who are also active in Baby in Vain and Flawless Victory, respectivily. The duo emerged in the wake of their respective breakups, turning to music as a refuge together. Music was a way to process and soothe their heartache, as well as an escape and an opportunity for experimentation. Friendship became an artistic partnership where vulnerability and playfulness coexist. Colored by crooning harmonica, 2000s-inspired indie drums, and a melancholic glockenspiel, the duo crafts music with a unique, ambivalent mood, that’s equally wistful and hopeful.
BLUSH’ producer, Frederik Valentin, has been a central figure in Scandinavia’s musical avant-garde for nearly two decades. He has built an incredible catalogue of solo and collaborative works alongside artists such as Loke Rahbek (Croatian Amor), Hannes Norrvide (Lust For Youth) and Jonatan Leandoer96 (Yung Lean).
The collaboration between Frederik and BLUSH began after a long night at Lumskebuksen, a Copenhagen bodega.
Live Performance at Nørgaard på Strøget
In celebration of Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26, BLUSH performs live at Nørgaard på Strøget on August 6, 4-5pm. They will be joined on stage by Freja Holm Larsen on bass and Nataja Lachmi (Velvet Volume) on drums. The event is hosted by Mads Nørgaard – Copenhagen.
