• ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION: 40 YEARS OF STRIPES

In 1986, Mads began importing scarves, and Mads Nørgaard – Copenhagen took shape. 40 years later, we return to the beginning with a special launch celebrating the history, the stripes and some of the people who have been part of the journey.

The anniversary collection consists of four new scarves. Three are created in collaboration with Henrik Vibskov, Caro Editions and Farshad Farzankia, who as creative voices and friends of the house have each interpreted the iconic Nørgaard stripe.

  • HENRIK VIBSKOV

Henrik Vibskov has, in his own quirky way, reinterpreted the classic Nørgaard stripes on the diagonal in this 100% wool scarf. By playing with the weave of four coloured threads – black, white, brown and green – the pattern appears as its own negative on the reverse side.

“Since the beginning of my career, the Nørgaard family has sold my products – and still does to this day. For more than 25 years, the family has represented Henrik Vibskov and supported me in ways that go far beyond the commercial. Thank you.”

  • CARO EDITIONS

Caro Editions is inspired by the classic triangular scarf from Nørgaard paa Strøget. With appliquéd hearts and pink details, the scarf takes on a playful, nostalgic expression that reflects the aesthetic of Caro Editions.

“I’ve always felt a very natural connection to Mads Nørgaard – both personally and creatively.”

  • FARSHAD FARZANKIA

Artist Farshad Farzankia has brought his work Eddy in the Sky from the gallery wall onto this silk scarf. The colours stand out beautifully in the material, complemented by red and white stripes that form a graphic frame around the motif.

“Over the years, Mads Nørgaard has supported both my exhibitions and my artistic work with a genuine interest and dedication that I greatly appreciate. Our paths have crossed many times, and for that reason it felt completely natural to say yes to the collaboration.”
