On March 8th we celebrate the International Women’s Day and on this occasion we spent time with the French artist and writer, Philomene. She is the founder and artistic director of “Speciwomen”, an annual print publication and online archive aiming to change the representation of upcoming womxn artists. Louise Le Meur photographed Philomene in Paris wearing our #101 t-shirt in solid red for the launch of the second issue.
“Speciwomen” was founded by Philomene in 2015. The magazine explores themes upon gender and includes interviews with womxn artists who are moving beyond gender representation and identity politics in their work.
