In collaboration with Louisiana we welcome Indian artist Shilpa Gupta to our store window. Shilpa Gupta is famous for her political art pieces such as ‘Singing Cloud’ which is a permanent part of Louisiana’s collection.
Art has always been an essential part of the Nørgaard family and as supporters of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, we are very proud to lent out our store window for their performance art festival, Art Alive.
For the ‘Art Alive’ festival she will show her balloon-happening ‘I Want To Live With No Fear’. The balloons are exhibited in our store window from Wednesday May 4th.
The Art Alive festival, 6-7 May, boasts an intense and exciting programme with talks, performances and debates. And a chance to meet internationally acclaimed artists such as William Kentridge, Shilpa Gupta, Ragnar Kjartansson, Pipilotti Rist, Manal Al Dowayan, Ed Atkins, Alex Da Corte and Olafur Eliasson.
The festival is open for all with an entrance ticket to the museum. Entrance tickets purchased on 6 May can be used again on the second day of the festival 7 May.
