Lead by front woman Kirsten Dehlholm, this month marks Hotel Pro Forma’s 30 year anniversary. And that’s something to celebrate!
At Mads Nørgaard, we have a long hisoty of lenting out our store window to Kirsten Dehlholm. The anniverssary of Hotel Pro Forma was the ideal reason to invite her to show a tiny fraction of her vast repertoire. In relation to Hotel Pro Forma’s great anniversary exhibition at Kunstforeningen Gl. Strand, this month Kirsten Dehlholm is completely in charge of our window exhibition. To pay homage to one of the most interesting and ever-changing performance artist in the entire country, Kirsten Dehlholm has free reign to do what she wants. We welcome the piece 'Lokke And. Lokke Due. Lokke Dig. by Kirsten Dehlholm & Anne Mette Fisker Langkjer.
In the store, we have asked Kirsten Dehlholm to take over Let’s Exchange, our cultural concept corner. The idea behind Let’s Exchange is to ask our favorite artists, authors, musicians and friends to pick and choose items the love, and exhibit them for everyone to admire. Let's Exchange is open from November 7th at 11am. Be sure to check out her picks and pieces.
Also, make sure to visit the anniversary performance and exhibition ‘Dagens Kage Er En Træstamme’ by Hotel Pro Forma at Kunstforeningen Gl. Strand just around the corner from the Mads Nørgaard store. The exhibition showcases highlights from Hotel Pro Forma’s more than 50 works throughout the years. In Hotel Pro Forma’s own words:
“The exhibition does not require familiarity with Hotel Pro Forma. It is part of the ongoing and curious examination that is always present in Hotel Pro Forma’s work. With focus on visual expression, the examination continues to challenge prevalent notions about form, phenomenons and genres.”
