Spring is upon us. But since the weather is fickle, we are starting to feel restless. As a response to mother nature, we decided to put together a little list of great things to do while we wait for summer and sunshine. So here goes. This is what get us buzzing around the HQ in the month of May.
Let’s kick it off with some tunes. In our mind there is an abundance of talent in danish music these days. And luckily some of them are on the road at the moment. The both stylish and skilled Aarhus quartet, Liss are delivering a doubleheader of concerts at Vega during May. Tickets for their first show came and went in a heartbeat, but there is still a few to be had for the extra show on May 15th. Read more HERE.
Mario Testino at Gl. Strand
Next one: The inevitable art recommendation. Actually we have a couple for you, as May is really treating us art lovers. First up is a new exhibition right up our alley. The legendary Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino is showing his work at Gl. Strand starting May 13th. This marks the first ever exhibition on Danish soil for the brilliant and keen-eyed portraitist. Read more about the exhibition HERE.
Further north, at the scenic Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, the fifth month means the art festival, Art Alive. The two-day fair takes place from May 6th - 7th and offers, among tons of stuff, talks, lectures and performances by the likes of Olafur Eliasson, Papilotti Rist and Jørgen Leth. We have lent our store window out to Louisiana and a pop up art installation by Shilpa Gupta Wednesday 5th from 4-5pm. Read more about the art festival HERE.
The rich Copenhagen dining scene just got a little richer. Master chef Bo Bech finally opened his new inner city restaurant Lou Lou after months of teasing and anticipation. And the overall result is spot on. Visit Lou Lou HERE.
On Vesterbro, alongside every exotic travel agency imaginable, the Italian specialists behind Osteria 16 commenced their new tasty pasta adventure, Spaghetteria. Both is well worth a visit if your tummy is rumbling. Book a table HERE.
Last but not least: For the Women Deliver 2016 Conference in Copenhagen we have created a jacket in collaboration with Gender Sociologist and wife of Mads Nørgaard, Cecilie Nørgaard from Mangfold and Majken Gilmartin from Eir Soccer. The jacket will be sold exclusively in Nørgaard Paa Strøget from May 9th, 2016, with a price tag of 999 DKK. Read more about the collaboration HERE.
