Mads Nørgaard-Copenhagen introduces the new campaign “Couples” for Autumn/Winter 2013, a series of double portraits shot by Rasmus Weng Karlsen in Copenhagen. The debut pair is Model Chloe Nørgaard and agency director Peter Damgaard.
The Couples series, created by Mads Nørgaard-Copenhagen, is a marking of human bonds. The series of double portraits are all about the beauty, witty humour, oddness and intelligence in the connection between comrades, collaborators, lovers, etc., but also personal takes on identity and culture. The debut couple is Danish model Chloe Nørgaard and agency director Peter Damgaard, shot this summer in the storied amusement park Dyrehavsbakken, placed North of Copenhagen.
"The idea behind the Couples series came in discussions between my wife Cecilie and I. We wanted to create a space where we could play with gender, opposites, friends, lovers and other relations. It was our wish to focus on real people, with real stories and individuals who had a relationship with our hometown. Thus, everything is shot on inspiring locations in Copenhagen, expressing our local roots and the joie de vivre that is so important to our brand. We always thought it would be interesting to work like this. The outcome is beyond our expectations."
